Alternative Flucard ?

Halllo

Here in Europe the 16Gb Flucard Class 10 (Part 36810) isn't available at all. Another Card of Trek, the Flucard 8 Gb, Class 6 is available in many stores. Would this work also with the K3? I wouldn't not us it for Motordrive Session with 8fps, so speed is not so important for me. But what I want to use ist the tethering with the iPhone App, and release the Shutter Remote by the iPhone

Has someone test this combination?

The Flucard is not available anywhere yet. The 8GB will work but NOT with the remote control feature. Only the Pentax 16GB has the remote control feature. If you wait for a couple of weeks the Pentax Flucard will be available.

It'd probably work as a normal flu card, like the eyefi, to wirelessly transfer photos, but pretty sure only the pentax version can do the tethering stuff, and I don't think it's even out yet.

You can use any wi-fi card just fine, but for the tethering and remote features to work, you need the Pentax-specific card.

I recently bought an eye-fi mobi card and put in my K3. OK I don't have the remote control features that the Pentax Flu-card promises, but I can view my photos fairly quickly on my Galaxy Tab 3 10 inch screen when out and about. I can transfer the photos into dropbox which will upload to the cloud when I get a wi-fi connection and I can then view them on my computer or phone or even share them with friends and facebook if I so choose.

A poster on dp says that SRS has notified him that it has shipped his flucard. He had preordered it for shipment after Feb 27.
