Dale

Just called them. They also said 2-3 week special order, but couldn't even give me a price. I'm assuming it would be the same as McBain's.

I've had mine for almost a week

I pre ordered and received mine last week in Surrey BC at Reids Foto Source.
And yes it worked seamlessly with several different devices.

I ordered a Flucard O-FC1 tonight at London Drugs in North Edmonton. $99. They had 10 in their warehouse in Vancouver. The salesman told me about a week for it to arrive in the store for me to pick up.

It connects to the Flucard as it would to an access point. So no, you don't need internet access for it to work. It creates it's own internet.
Thanks Derek.
I thought I would have had to carry the entire internet provider with me !

I got my FLU card for $89 from Don's Photo in Edmonton. It was a much lower price than I was expecting.

A complete Remote Control Camera Tethering Solution

As different from standard SD cards as a bicycle to a Maserati!

That is not the primary function of the card and your right if uploading to your PC is all you expect the O-FC1 todo then standard SD cards are considerably better option.

But if you want to control your camera from a remote device then the O-FC1 is considerbly better than a standard SD card

or

If you want to display each shot on a large screen as you shoot again the O-FC1 is you tool

or

You want to have easy access to images to show your client during the shoot then again the O-FC1 is the tool

or

you want to folder watch with your processor of choice the O-FC1 will do that to (but painfull as WiFi is slow)

Got mine today. Very quick test run. Seems to work great, does exactly what it is said to do. Will save my knees for some of those low shots.

I also got mine today from Pentax Australia/CR Kennedy.
All expected functions work seamlessly so far through Safari on both my iPhone and my wife's iPad.
