Firmware 1.03 out for K3

I think that you can try to install the upgrade again. Maybe was a problem when you installed it, and the second time will work fine.

Anyway, I don't know if an downgrade is possible, but I always keep the updates, 01, 02, etc, in my computer memory, just in case.

By afraid, I don't have older upgrade files for K-3, because I don't have a K-3. But maybe someone has, and can send you one.

Hi Jimmy reloaded the update seems to be okay so far need to take out on a trip but at the moment am house bound, thanks for he info will keep that in mind for if a do another update.

I'm getting ready to install Firmware 1.03 how do I format my sd card . I got a 32 g with my camera I took a few pictures and I deleted the file thats had the photos on it so it looks blank . How do I know if its formated or not. I found something about format on page 31 in the manual. It doesn't say anything about having to do this step when updating firmware . after I did the format in the camera I put the sd card in the computer and it now shows us as a external drive and is names k-3 so I guess I did it .

Hit the menu button, use the arrows to go to the Tool 4 menu, and you will see Format.

Only updated to 1.01 so far. Was looking for 1.02 (maybe 1.03 is too new?) and found previous versions are still downloadable:

No need to update all of them in sequence. Just grab the latest.

Yes, I only looked for 1.02 because I hadn't downloaded it, and had seen a couple of mentions of 1.03 freezing. But decided to use 1.03 after I'd read the release notes.
The 1.03 self extractor gave a weird message about not installing correctly, so I ended up downloading the .zip file instead.
