Resolved- 645 adapter stuck on k3

Hi everyone,
I was surprised when I could not get the 645 adapter (looks like a generic one) off of my K3. Yes, I am familiar with the ricoh pin issue and tried sliding a metal tape between the mount and adapter - no avail. tried for over 2 hours. Feeling helpless. Maybe I should just take it to a camera shop?
I have sucessfully used this adapter on my k20d with no issues mounting and removing. Anyone know if the mount pins are any different on the K3? Any pointers about removing the adapter is appreciated.

on the plus side...

I like the 120 macro on it. Just a test shot:

Just a shot in the dark - try removing the adapter with the AF lever on MF to retract the screw drive into the body. I have heard of some adapters getting stuck with the screw drive in a screw hole.

Thank you Canada Rockies, I did retract the AF lever. The adapter seems to be stuck somewhere in the 6-9 'O clock position. At times I wonder if the adapter is stuck within the mount ring rather than on the surface of the mount ring (as it happens with the ricoh pin). I plan on taking a break and coming back to it over the weekend. Do not want to damage the camera...

I'm sorry the idea did not work. Good luck with the camera on the weekend.

Took the camera to the local camera shop. I knew that there was a Pentax enthusiast there. He came through - he was confident about extricating it and gave a firm pull at the right place (after wiggling a little bit). Will post pictures of adapter later so that others who have the same can be cautious about using it on some SLRs.
Thank you again Canada Rockies for your responses!
