Hi Michael:

Would this work for non macro work ?

1. Take several shots of the stationary subject by NOT moving the camera but instead selecting different focus points on the target with "SEL"
That involves AF, so that might not be a good idea for stacking a few (three or four) images?
2. "Assemble" the images (whatever the number) with Photoshop with either one of these methods ...

Method A: "File > Automate > Photomerge..."
Method B: "Edit > Auto-Align Layers..."

Or just go and make things easier with the Zerene software?

you are using manual ?
