K-3 Movie-SR issue

The new K3 Movie-SR (digital. not mechanic) destroyed alot of my movies the first day on a party.
When lights flashing or with a big screen background, the frame jumps around.
Look at this:

Have you seen this on your K3 or is it just mine?
How can I report this to Pentax?

I guess all those flashes must be fooling the system. Were you hand-holding the camera?

Well, it is supposed that the effects will be added after shooting.

Yes, it´s hand hold. (and i have some alcohol in my body

)

I shut the Movie-SR off the next day and didn´t got the issue.

I thought the sr used internal accelerometers to stabilize the sensor and those should not be fooled by anything like this. But it could be that in video mode it also uses some kind of image analyzing as well and that would certainly be fooled by flashes and strange video backgrounds in the scene. So that's probably it.

You haven't being paying attention

The K-3 uses *software* Shake Reduction in movie mode. Pentax have deactivated the sensor shift SR in movie mode since the K-5 because it uses too much power and makes a noise on the video (Apparently. Though I never heard it on my K-7).

So you think that it is only the processor only using the image from sensor to calculate the SR?

Why can´t they put an option on wich type of SR to use?
I use a external microphone and doesn´t pick up the noise from sensorshift.
That worked great on my K7.

What do you mean "very bad"? It really spices up the video!

But yes, its probably all the motion and lights. Can't expect a machine to work perfectly in such difficult conditions

Soooo frustrating we finally get full manual control for shooting video, but this yucky digital shake reduction. I LOVED the mechanical shake reduction of the Kx and K5... it almost looked like an expensive steady-cam rig and worked so incredibly well.

I agree with the thought that they should have just given the users the option. No shake reduction, mechanical SR (like the older bodies), or digital.
