K-3 w/Grip L Plate Available Mestos PD K3HL

Just purchased the Mestos L Plate for the K-3 with Grip from Mad for Camera

Do not be put off by the link or pictures - they just added the product, used and old web page and used pictures from the K-5 grip

I corresponded with them over the past few months - this is for the K-3

I bought it on eBay which had free shipping at the same price - bought the last one listed there for now.

I own the Mestos K-5 L Plate for camera and grip - great product

I will review this once it arrives. - Just in time for Spring and Summer macro shooting.

Will do. This just became available from Mad For Camera a day or two ago. Delivery from South Korea can take weeks. Once it arrives I will post a review, with pictures, on the forum.

I do have the Mestos grip for the K-5 with Grip - I never take it off. It fits perfect and is permanent fixture - K-5 plus battery grip plus Mestos L bracket

Only reason I bought it. The K-5 version is terrific. The K3 version shipped, should arrive soon and I will add a review with pictures on the forum.

Any updates? I just got my BH-55 and tried it with my K-3 with the old bracket which fits great.

The grip I posted earlier is for the K-3 with Grip. For the K-3 without grip the old K-5 plate works fine. If you use the grip with the K-3 you need a new L-Plate.

I ordered the K3 Mestos PD-K3HL back in September 2014. It took awhile to receive it from Mad for Camera. Once I received it I tried it on my K3 with Grip and found it to be a nice fit. The issue I have with it is that it doesn't hold in my RRS ball head... If I clamp it all the way closed it will slide right out. If I partial close the lever it will hold. This isn't ideal since it is very easy to bump the lever into a fully closed position where it can slide right out of the clamp. I contacted Mad for Camera on their support site and to this day I have not received any response. I'm pretty disappointed and today ordered what I should have in the first place. The K3 L-Bracket from RRS (no grip). Please be aware if you have the same items you may have the same issue.
