LCD eyecup

The weather was just magnificant and I and my fiancÚ went on an excursion to a marsh nearby to see the wildlife. After having previously owned a K10D which has pretty much broken down I now have the possibility to record video.

The problem was that there was a lot of glare and daylight is too strong to be able to get any idea if what I was aiming at was in focus.

A friend of mine does a lot of recording with his Canon and he has this huge eyecup with a built in magnifying glass that fits nicely around his LCD and sticks on with a magnet. I'm not sure if he has glued on a metal ring around the LCD for it to become magnetic but that's how it works anyway.

Does anyone know if there is anything similar for the K-3?

This works (NEW Matin 3 2" LCD View Finder Eyecup 2X FOR DSLR SLR Canon Nikon Sony Olympus | eBay), but is not very convenient if you want to take it on and off quickly since it is strapped onto the camera. I am considering gluing some steel strips around the frame and some tiny magnets on the loupe.

Hoodman Loupes are another option. There is a compact version also. Both come with a lanyard to wear around your neck with a quick-release to disconnect from lanyard. H3.2 and CH3.2 which are available through B&H and probably Adorama and Amazon.

I've got the compact version. I believe it only comes in 3.2"
