K3 at the Rodeo

I attended a small town rodeo close to where I live yesterday. It was fun and provided a good workout for the K3. I used the Tamron 70-200 with the Pentax 1.4X rear converter for the majority of my captures. AF tracking was good if the first photo was locked on. I was glad that I wasn't riding the horses.

A great well done series! My eyes got stuck on the second one; it told such a rich story of the day. Thank you, for mentioning which rear converter you used to get these fabulous stop action shots.

Rodeo is a great place to shoot. Ponoka Stampede is coming up and is a great place to get close access .
did you buy the 1.4X in Edmonton? I am trying to get hold of won but no one is carrying it.( back order with no inbound date)
this was Ponoka last year.

Yes I purchased the 1.4X at McBains. The rodeo I went to was at Wildwood.

Wow, great shot. Who has the brass ones, the guy riding or the guy who taps his nose?
