I just did a quick test using DA 50/1.8, FA 35/2, A 50/1.7, and K 55/1.8:
  • Manual focus mode
  • M exposure mode
  • 1/1000s shutter speed
  • Frame rate on "H"
I was not able to discern any difference in frame rate between the lenses listed.

Edit: Did a fresh listen and sure enough, when aperture is controlled by the aperture ring on the lens, the maximum frame rate is lower. At least that is the case when the aperture is set to wide open. At f/22, the rate sounds about the same.

This makes sense if you think about it. The time to complete the open-close-open sequence depends on the chosen aperture. When the body is doing the setting, it is in the position to cycle faster for the wider apertures.

End Edit

I thought it may be some noise processing. You could try turning it off.

The aperture needs to open/close fast enough. Slow apertures could be a problem - 7 fps is faster than allowed during M and A lens times.
I think it is a physical limitation. I ones worked a Canon SSC 50 lens hard on a T90 with 4.5 fps and saw the aperture ring moving caused by the shake of the camera... at that time a film would last for 7 seconds or so.
