PEF versus DNG RAW format

The Pentax DSLR cameras come with PEF silkipix format files as well as capbility to save in DNG format. Has anyone carried out a comparison of the two formats? What are the advantages of pef over DNG?

As Adam noted, there have been several discussions on this topic. The bullet points are:

There is no quality difference, the data are strictly identical
DNG may allow a greater degree of compatibility with various software
PEF may allow better or more complete compatibility with the Pentax-supplied RAW conversion software. Third-party support for PEF is limited to Adobe and a few others.
