I don't have a preference for the type of file. What is the difference? I know PEF is Pentax and DNG is Adobe...but aside from that... I have no clue if there are significant differences.
When I first started shooting RAW (18 months ago ish) I just picked one randomly and went with it so I have been using PEF files. I just guessed at it more or less...
I really don't have a significant library of images...only a few that I consider "pretty good" as it was my learning phase. I've only been taking pictures at all just over 2 years ago...
I don't mind switching if there isn't anything significant different about them.
At this point I'm just going to switch both cameras K5 and K3 to DNG.
