Well, that's a good advice. Usually it's off, but last time I did some night photography and maybe now it's on. Last night I used ISO 200 so I was not thinking about the NR.
My goal is to catch in the same photo some traffic light trails and star trail using the bright function. I don't even know if that is possible, but my first 2 tests are promising.

Minor glitch report:

- system total hang/freeze/lockup on image review, using Sandisk Extreme Pros. No visible disk activity. Bad timing in the middle of a gig. Was about to remove the battery but camera came back to life again somehow after about 4 minutes. Only 2nd time this has happened in over a year. Weird.

- stupid card system still unable to make overflow from card 2 to card 1 work properly. Started on card slot 2, filled it, wouldn't overflow to card slot 1. Had to pull the cards out of both slots and swap them around. Ended up doing this twice this evening.

Latest firmware etc.

Yes, I have had this happen several times in the last 16 months, but not since my last firmware update (v1.11).

I don't believe that behavior is available. My K-3 allows overflow from card 1 to card 2, but not the other way around. The challenge is to get it to start from card 1.

Yes, I wish the camera would just let us manually choose the card to start writing to, perhaps via the same button which lets users select which card to use for image playback.

I had some issues with the startrails recently, but this one is strange. Maybe the tripod was unstable, but everything in the picture was sharp enough, except those crazy stars.

That looks like a resolution issue. I assume it is a crop you are showing? How is it processed?

Yes, it's a crop. Even if I had some gaps in stars it's the first time I see this shake, like the tripod moved every 3-5 shots

Describe how the shot was taken. If it is multiple shots there has been an issue where the sensor positioning is not identical between individual shots. It can be fixed post by aligning the stack.
