Have had my K3 (gunmetal) since release in October 2014. Have done close to 7000 actuations glitch free in both slow and careful mode for personal use and frenetic mode for event reportage.
Usage has included grip and no grip, Da lenses, m42 lenses, K and KA lenses onboard and external flash with pc synch.
No glitches at all.
Great camera. Very reliable.

Has anyone have trouble setting date and time? For me, camera goes back to picture taking mode if I'm not quick enough. I haven't seen any other menu with such behaviour.
I have FW 1.11

Just set the time on my K-3 according to the radio-controlled clock on my shelf, i.e. to the second, without any auto-switch hassles whatsoever. Running on firmware v1.11.

I've had only self-caused glitches. Bought my K-3 in Feb., 2014. Upgraded the firmware immediately upon arrival.

Are you trying to set the time in the "World Time" menu? If so, the change won't be saved. You have to change the time in the "Date Adjustment" menu.

I find that when the battery is low, not dead or flat, thr K3 kicks me out of the menu screen and I have to start over. I don't get many imsges before the bsttery gets low. I am using an aftermarket Wasabi which is probably nearing end of life as well as a Pentax cell. Voltage seems too high on thr Wasabi. I do tend to use a lot of live view, mirror lock up and chimping which accelerates battery drain. I should probably stick to OEM cells as they are really consistent. But the 3rd party stuff is extremely cheap.

I bought the K3 in late September 2014. It came with FW 1.0 and I immediately upgraded to 1.11. I experienced the flapping mirror issue only once and the K3 stopped itself. I didn't have to pull the battery. I didn't even know about the issue until afterwards. I was using my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8. I haven't experienced the mirror issue again.

Nearing 20K photos. Put it through some 8-12 hour events running multiple batteries to near zero, 100+ degree heat and sub-freezing cold.... and I have never had a problem.

My copy of K-3 has been prone to freezing every once in a while since the purchase in December 2013. Haven't noticed any other glithces, except for one or two crazy mirror bursts.
