I would be a bit concerned with a strap that has the "quick detach" clips. I could see myself just fumbling with my fingers as I walk along not paying attention and accidentally clicking the clip and then my camera goes for a ride. I sure like the idea of quick interchangment though but couldn't take the chance.

If you mean the Op/tech, not gonna happen. Unless you are a lot stronger than I am no way are you going to accidentally open them. Hard to do intentionally to be honest, you really have to really squeeze.

I have doubts about these spider-net thin 'Peak Design Anchor Links' to attach straps to the body

They are tested to withstand 100 pounds of pulling force. I trust them completely.

I can see that they'll wear over time (like any other connection point), but if you pay attention and replace them as needed, you won't worry about them.... I trust them implicitly...

Thanks....I just ordered the Peak Design "Cuff" from Adorama. I have the Optech but this looks less obtrusive. And I liked Sigourney Weaver in the Youtube video.

When using a sling strap (camera hanging on 1 point), what is the biggest lens that you guys consider as reasonable to put on?

I know that you could also fix the uni-loop to the lens plate, but I'm only wondering what is the max. lens size still safe to use when the camera is hung.
In different words - what is the carrying capacity of the camera K-mount?

Who knows?

I've looked online for years for an authoritative answer to "how much weight can the tripod screw something could the tripod screw socket support?" in nikon, canon, and pentax lists. I've only heard anecdotal stories. The most I have done is a 50mm macro lens with the camera vertically attached to a copy stand.

The tripod socket is not just 1/4-20 threads tapped into a solid metal plate but rather just a collar, with threads, held fast to the camera structure by two or three small screws. Medium format cameras as light weight (lighter than a lens less DSLR) as a Zeiss Super Ikonta 645, has a beefier 3/8 tripod socket.

This has special significance to me. I had a Canon T90 and a Canon 200/2.8. Both were expensive. The metal neck strap loop on the camera broke, dropping the camera and lens two foot down to the sofa cushion. Whew! Lucky!
