Missed opportunity on K3

Darn! Was ready to pull the trigger on the K3 + free battery grip from B&H, went to my cart, and the grip was no longer included (promo must have ended on 2/28.) The new bundle is over $100 more and includes the DA 50/1.8, which I'm not looking for. Guess I'll wait a while...

You might want to give them a call and tell your tale. They might still give you the old deal. Worth a shot anyway.

I did email them asking if the grip was no longer part of the deal, and they confirmed it wasn't. I responded that I wouldn't be ordering and would wait until a comparable offer appeared in the future; no reply from them to that (was hoping they'd say "aww what the hell...you can have it!)

Often a phone call will get you things that an email cannot. But oh well, maybe next time.

With that said, I'm sure the free grip deal will return in due time. Either that, or the price of the body will drop some more.

My wife says I got do taxes before I pull the trigger on a new K3. I hope the deal is still there when my taxes are done, or I'll be kicking myself (for not doing taxes earlier!)

I suggest picking up the grip as lightly used on the marketplace here. I bought my K-3 bundled with the grip and found after less than 10 minutes with the grip mounted that it was a no-go for my hands (large) and style of shooting. I sold it for a reasonable price on the marketplace as a win-win situation for both me and the buyer.

The camera also came with the DA 50/1.8 which I also intended to sell. Ha! Ha! That I kept, despite having more than a dozen fast 50s in M42 and K-mount. It is just too much fun to shoot with. Go figure...

Yeah, doesn't look like I'll be using Daxmart anytime soon. The reviews I found were 100% negative.

Ordered mine with the grip on 2/10/15 for $847. Today I saw it's back down to $799. Called B&H (it's within 30 days, gotta love Feb!) and insto presto $47 coming back my way...

So if you paid $847, the price just dropped to $799 for the body with free grip.
