Right. I know Pentax and Sony have in camera IS. However, some prefer the more stabilized "look" through a stabilized lens. Tamron and Sigma have quit stabilizing lenses for Pentax and Sony, since, as you say, those cameras have built in camera body IS.
The ads for the Sigma 150-500 for Canon, Nikon etc show OS in the description. For the Pentax and Sony, the description does not show OS. I pretty sure it's been removed on the latest lenses. As recently as a year ago, this lens was stabilized for ALL cameras. It was nice to have the option to use it or not. I wish I had bought one then.
