K-3 AFC 27 points real life test

Below three example dynamic shots taken with DA*300+TC / AFC 27 points tracking AF hold status #3 (medium). A number of initial shots were blurred but AF managed to catch-up.

Nice captures. Can you provide an estimate of what % were keepers out of your total burst shooting.

About 50% keepers (with 1.4x TC), but to be honest animals jumps out of wood, really fast, it was hard to keep my targets inside the frame while focusing. Perhaps pre-focusing would have helped. Also I noticed: with TC, if there is nothing distinct to focus on, the AFC tries to focus closer and closer in steps and finally get stuck at closest focus distance. I haven't observed that without TC.

Nor Nickelsdor! Neusiedlersee is an awesome place for birding. I've been there a couple of times.

Yep, it was great, I could not believe how much fauna was there. But it looks like you are near the Avalon Wilderness Reserve, aren't you?

Yes, I'm relatively close to that wilderness reserve. However, I haven't been there yet, nor do I know much about it -- I haven't lived on this island very long. Despite that, it's relatively easy to see moose (Elch) and caribou (Rentier) from highways. Moose is overabundant because the island's wolves were extirpated long ago and Labrador wolves that try to recolonize the island are usually mistaken for coyotes and shot. There are lots of Bald Eagles (Adler) along the island's seashore and loons (Eistaucher) on the lakes. The coast also has large nesting colonies of Common Murre/Guillemot (Trottellumme), Atlantic Puffin (Papageitaucher), Northern Gannet (Basstoelpel) and Black-legged Kittiwake (Dreizehenmoewe). Large numbers of humpback, fin, and minke whales and come close to the shore during July to join the seabirds feeding on spawning pelagic species of fish.
