More and more PS images are emerging. In some cases it does not seem to make all that much difference ...

They all seem to be downsized, so any details gained by PS are of course lost.

Click on the far right icon (down-pointing arrow) for the option to download the original full-resolution image and prepare to be amazed.

All I get is the option to select different sizes, where the largest is 2048x1362, which is less then 3Mpixel. Also it says "The owner has disabled downloading of their photos "

I thought the difference was pretty remarkable in both (obviously viewed at 100 percent).

I must be privileged.* The largest I see is 6016x4000. I suspect we are looking at different examples.

Are you referring to this series?

* I do have a Flickr "pro" account (long story)

On the cherries shot the difference seems pretty minimal even viewed 1:1 on my monitor (equivalent to some 6ft wide print).

Yes, I guess it's because I don't have a flickr account then.

I would post the actual file links, but don't want to risk an objection from kh1234567890 for deep linking to his content. Perhaps they will provide the actual file links.

Those are not my shots. For whatever reason the author 'Lepidoptorologic beauty' had disabled access to the original size images for non Flickr members.

Oops! Sorry, the posts got a little tumbled together, I guess.

There is a Flickr setting for that. I have my account set somewhat more strict. The workaround is to provide direct links to the files you want to share. Even fully private contact may be shared that way.

I am a flickr pro member and do not see the larger sizes of the cherry image.

Well, I guess I do have special privilege then, though I have no clue why.

Update to DCU to version 5.4.1 (supplied to the lucky K-3 II owners) now available to all: Digital Camera Utility 5 Update for Windows : Software Downloads | RICOH IMAGING.

Contains the PS RAW to PS processed tiff conversion software using the 'Save As ...' function. Converted/processed TIFFs are about 141MB. (Based on a sample size of 1.)

Cheers,
Lou

P.S. Thanks to all you K-3 II owners who have kindly shared your PS RAW files with the rest of us.

PS subject movement

I tested out the PS today at my camera store. I was hoping the feature would bring some great results for my long exposure seascapes but looking at this image I was dismayed to see green artefacts from anything that moved in the picture. I wonder if this effect will be present in moving water and if so can it be cancelled out using the latest updated Digital Camera Utility 5? I can't get the software without buying the camera, but in any case I'm otherwise very impressed with the rest of the Pentax K3 II and almost ready to jump ship from Nikon.
