I don't think I ever attached the strap that shipped with it to my K-3. The first thing I noticed when I got the thing was it had proper old school metal hooks on it (the K-x and K-30 did not) so I promptly raided my stash of junk cameras and liberated a vintage metal and canvas strap from an old Canon that I somehow picked up at some point (probably in a lot, I have no reason to buy 30 year old Canon's). I tend to carry it as a sling as opposed to around my neck as I've found that easier for general walking around.
