Mmmh... I think pixel shift could work in that context better than with a waterfall.
Why? Because you have white water on a supposedly white porcelain background, so you're less likely to see artifacts.
That's why, IMHO, it's less valid a test.
That of course if the porcelain or whatsit is white...
