K3II and DFA 150-450 at the Rodeo

I have had the DFA 150-450 for the past several weeks and am really enjoying this lens. What a hefty beast! AF speed is the best of any Pentax long lens that I have used. It appears to be quite sharp even wide open; as a result I sold my DA* 300 which is a classic lens. Below are some shots from a small town rodeo; I am glad that I am not a cowboy.

Great action shots!

I see that most (all ?) were taken at around 220mm .... do you have any similar ones taken at 450mm ?

Cheers!

For this event I didn't have any shots at 450 because of set up.

Good shots.
Looks like you were blessed with good light to shoot in. I wonder how the 150-450 would fare at night rodeo.

may be interesting for some beginners to also post the autofocus settings so that other folks can learn
