Is this about camera / light meter calibration procedure ? I do have a Sekonic light meter, but I do not have the 478D, nevertheless I'm also interested in light meter calibration.

Pentax cameras are pretty consistent with ISO amplification ratings - I don't think you really need to compensate much, not like you would with current Fuji or Canon cameras.

I ended up buying a pfofile from Ken Tam Photography for the K3, the profile certainly indicated it needs tweaking to get the best out of the meter using the data transfer software from Sekonic.

Hi I didn't realise the profiles for different meters are pretty much the same. I don't have your model meter, so didn't realise I could help you with info.

This is one of 3 profiles I have on hand for my K-3 and Sekonic 758d Meter.

I have pretty much forgotten about the profiles since I developed them. The main point, I guess, was that I could bias the meter 2.5 stops ETTR without fear of clipping.

What do you propose to use the profiles for?

*edit to add - Joe Brady does a series of training vids for Sekonic. Easily found on Youtube. Very helpful.

Interestingly, the actual DR is not what DXO mark reports.

:-) I know. I wrote that because there were a lot of discussion about the bad DR of Canon DSLRs, but I didn't find the correctly exposed Canon pictures to be that bad compared to any other camera of the same format.
