That's a damn shame. Do enjoy your new camera, though - it's always nice to see the boxes turn up with new goodies inside.

I don't mind at all about ice cream; my health is more important, having diabetes II.

I remember my excitement when I was getting my K-50.
It took 3 days to get to me, even though The Camera Store is only 3 hours away...

Now, 3 days to travel clear across the country!

It's going to be hard to wait for the battery to charge up, so I can take some photos!

While you wait for the battery charge you can stare at the K-3 a feel it, hold it in your hands, and read this: http://www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/english/support/man-pdf/k-3.pdf

If memory serves me correctly, she's been reading it ever since she hit the order button.

It usually has some, I found. Not much, but enough to get off a few shots and make sure everything's working. IIRC batteries do best when they're run dry before recharge. Have fun with it as long as that part charge lasts!

Yes I think I read something about that...
I read the K-50 manual last year way before buying my K-50.

Yep, I downloaded the manual right after I hit the order button, and have been studying it!

Dang, I didn't try it to see if it had any power; just assumed it didn't, and put the battery on the charger immediately.

The free flash is a very nice little unit, has a pull-down diffuser. I didn't have a separate flash, so this is a welcome freebie! The 50 F1.8 lens hit a backorder, so don't know when it will arrive.

I'm very pleased with the size of the K3, I thought it would be much larger & heavier; but it's slightly smaller than my K10D, and fits my hands very nicely!

Wooooweeee, I'm so excited to get out & get some photos with it!
