Does Pentax, or anyone, publish a K-3 II User Guide?

Hello All,
I have a K-3 II, and have spent quite a bit of time studying the Operating Manual, but it is really only a reference manual...little or no explanation or discussion as to why or in which circumstances you would use one setting or another.
So, does Pentax, or anyone, publish a User Guide, which provides the necessary discussion of the whys and wherefors?

Cheers,
Terry

There was an e-book published by someone, I think for the k-3..............

Here you go: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/24-photographic-equipment-sale/295303-sal...tax-dslrs.html

Have not read it or even looked so no idea how good it will be.

If you have specific questions feel free to ask, answers are usually quite quick in appearing.

I ordered the K3-K3II E-Book last week, and am very happy with it. It definitely goes into more detail than the owner's manual. Pictures, etc., also add to explanations of features. It's PDF, so very easy to download/use.

There is around 300 pages, and then a few pages with the K3-II extra features.

I'd definitely give it a thumbs up!

I think an additional guide is especially important, since the ~Ricoh~ K-3 manual (and, I have to assume, the K-3 II manual) is so brief, compared to previous ~Pentax~ DSLR manuals (up through the K-5 models).

Some examples:

K20D = 282 pgs

K-5 II / K-5 IIs = 331 pgs

K-3 = 107 pgs (less than 1/3 the size of the K-5 II / K-5 IIs manual)

As a K-3 owner, not only did I pick up one of the Bourque PDF manals for the K-3 (better, but not spectacular, and not as convenient to use as a "hold in your hands and thumb through it" manual, IMHO, YMMV), I also obtained a K-5 II / K-5 IIs manual from KEH -- most of the K-3 features are in it, and are better explained in it, than they are in the skimpy, paltry, pathetic K-3 "pamphlet".

I agree, the K3 manual is very, very skimpy! For such a great camera loaded with features, and for the price, it's pretty sad that they choose to put out such a skimpy manual. My K10 manual is so much bigger & better than the K3's.

I'm going to take a DVD of my E-Book for the K3, to Staples, to see how much it will be to print it, so I can put it in a 3-ring binder.

I did that (Staples Print) and as I recall it was in the area of 70.00 for black and white. Color cost was too much for me.

Thanks for that information, pretty costly, but it is a large unit to print.

Staples online says about 8 cents per sheet. Might be less if you do double sided or go over 100 pages.

That wouldn't be bad at all. I'll check with my local Staples & get a quote. Thanks!

How many pages is it? I have access to a color printer at work and home, so I may end up doing that for myself if I order that.

In my previous post, I mentioned it's around 300 pages.

Must have skimmed past that. Thanks!
