I don't think it is true. "III" on the camera in the beginning of video is clearly fake. K-3 II is also only half year old model..

Also specs are too much over K-3 II specs to be plausible.

This looks like my wish list but "if true" I don't understand the various crop modes since it's already a 1.5 crop, birding maybe??. also all the different video modes (frame rates) seem over the top. I get 24,30,60 but beyond that I don't know what you'd do with them. Also the price seems way high, I could see $1500ish, but for $2200-$2400 Not when there are others out there with close specs that go for much less.

If they had any info in the past they probably had more views on their video's.

So I don't think so. Since all r&d resources are for the FF.

This fake is much better done than the previous one. Still, it's over the top and the language used is suggesting a wet dream whishlist, not an official spec list.

WOW,a camera mount in metal!!!

This sound like a new revolutionary feature, but I hope it will also have a lens mount.

Yes, that's one of the things which won't be mentioned in a press release. Because it's the same as saying "will have a shutter release button", or "you can take pictures with it".

Although I seriously doubt this is real, if it were the specs are not that implausible because manufactures tend to use a tick/ tock upgrade system, tick being a minor upgrade like the K3 to K3ii and Tock being a major upgrade. The K3 is due for a Tock upgrade, like what we had from the K5ii to the K3. Again this sounds more like a wish list. I think any major upgrade would include articulating screen, better autofocus, better video and 4k is the way things are going fast.

I don't think anyone could sell an APSC camera at that price.

Some folks just have too much time on their hands. I clearly do not believe this.

I do wonder what features & sensor the next APS-C Pentax flagship will have. Nikon has the amazing D7200. The next Pentax APS-C flagship needs to beat that, especially in autofocus.

If you look closely at the D7200 it ain't so "amazing" burst is sorta sad at 6fps vs 8.3 for the K3ii, battery life is not up to the K3ii, buffer small compared to the K3ii this is really big if you are shooting raw, IQ is very similar since they both have the same sensor. The D7200 is also bulkier. The K3ii has pixel shift which under "controlled" circumstances can meet or beat many FF. Where the D7200 comes out on top is the autofocus and video as it has 1080p at 60fps.
I do not have a K3ii I am waiting for the upgrade.

It would have to go down to an ISO of six or thereabouts, and deliver results as clean and crisp at one million as it did at one hundred. And have an uncrippled mount. And about fifty megapixels on the sensor. And pixel shift you could use shooting hand-held (above a certain shutter speed, at any rate). And a sensor that could displace forward or backward in the lens axis to tweak manual focus.

Then, maybe.

An even number of focus points doesn't sound true - after all, there has to be one in the middle, doesn't there?
