Question About SilkyPix?

Hi, My new K3-2 seems perfect so far, but I was just wondering about SilkyPix. I found my copy of Aperture 3.1, so I will probably be using that, but I was wondering why all my panels in SilkyPix are greyed out when I load an image? So far I have only loaded a couple Jpegs. Are they only active for raw? I'm running a MacPro desktop 3.06Gig 12 core machine running El Capitan.

As far as I know silkypix is a raw converter, yes.

Perhaps it is due to SilkyPix not having a profile yet for the K3 II?

I have version 6.1.20.0 and occasionally use it for both raw & jpg for my K3 and K5 IIs (as well as a Panasonic LX7 and a couple of Fuji Superzooms), and it works on both formats without issue.

Which version of Silkypix?

Or are you referring to the software supplied with the camera (Pentax Digital Camera Utility 5) which is basically a cut-down and customised Pentax-specific Silkypix?

The OEM copies of SilkyPix are sharply limited in comparison to the full version.

It might as well be a SilkyPix glitch. I had a similar experience with SP5 Pro. I ended up reinstalling the system, as re-installing the programme did not give the desired result.

In SP5 pro, you have to enable JPG/TIFF processsing. At this point my programme functions perfectly.
