Thanks Mack.

I see B&J photo is the only place to get the K70.

I loved the K3 when I had it. For feel, ergonomics, built, it couldn't be beat. Most comfy camera ever, though I will admit a bit on the heavy side. That camera must weigh at least 20lbs.

The K3 has noticably cheaper build quality and wasn't near as comfy to hold and use. But the lack of swivel LCD drove me nuts on the K3.

Wasn't the K70 released last month? Where is the hype for it? lol

Is that a typing error?

If you're going for a Pentax body, the current choices with articulating screens are the K-1 (full frame), K-70 or the outgoing K-S2 (which the K-70 effectively replaces). So, for your purposes you can go for a K-3 / K-3II and get the higher end build quality, or go with the K-70 / K-S2 and get the articulating screen, but with a more consumer-level build.

Yes, it has just been released. There have been plenty of press announcements for it, and we have a few early owners here on the forums. Initial indications are that it has good high ISO performance.

If I were you, I'd wait for the full K-70 reviews from various sources then make your decision. Personally, I'd choose the K-3 or K-3II and live without the articulating screen, but that's just me.

Good luck with whichever camera you choose...
