Will this replace my K-3 ?

I stopped at an antique store and picked up this little beauty for 6 bucks. Wife wants to know if this will replace my K-3. What should I tell her?

Tell her the K-3 is now for previewing shots you will take with the Duaflex. It will mean less wasted shots on film,
thus saving you money!

"In a way, yes. But in another more-accurate way... no."

Find a few 620 film spools and re spool some 120 film onto it. Use B&W film. Images will be soft in the corners but reasonable good in the center. Next you will need film processing equipment, chemicals, enlarger, various print papers. Of course you will need to take over a room of the house and convert it to a darkroom.

Conventional photography can become very addicting.

I bought a roll of color film already spooled on the 620 spindle for $13 on eBay. My local camera store will develop it. I'll make sure I get the 620 spool back.

"Don't worry, honey, this is a fixed-lens camera. There are no lenses to buy."

They misspelled Kodak on the tag.

And the name is right there in the camera!

Sheesh!

Tell her you got such a great deal on the camera that you have enough cash leftover to take her out for dinner at that fancy restaurant she is always pestering you about.

A win-win situation.
