Old lenses on K3II

Can anyone help?
I have a K3II and when I use my old 50mm 1.7 manual lens from an old ME Super I can only get spot or centre weighted metering but not multi-segmented

KA or just K mount lens? The manual says that KA mount or newer will have multi-segment metering available, but K (or M42) will be spot or center weighted as you point out.

Yes you are right it is a K mount. I also have a manual Sigma 70-200 2.8 which I have just tried and on the "A" setting this lens allows me to use multi segmented. That has explained it to me.
