Pentax K3 Firmware update to v1.30 and Date and time settings

I presently have a K3 with v1.21 and am trying to update to v1.30
I am following all the specified procedures, formatted SD card, fwdc220b, right down to START - press OK - NOW LOADING and COMPLETE, which is fine.
Everything would seem to be alright, but when I turn the camera back ON, it still shows the old version v1.21.
I have tried several times, starting from scratch with newly formatted cards each time, but still end up with the same old v1.21

The camera is not yet a year old and still under warranty, and since I am also getting a problem with the date and time slipping back to 2013, I am anxious to get everything working correctly as quickly as possible

I would be grateful for any suggestions regarding the Firmware Update, as this may ??? possibly have something to do with the Time slippage.

Any ideas please

you reinstalled the same old 1.21.

Make sure you download from Pentax.jp. It's possible the site you downloaded from had the wrong file.

When you decompressed the download on your computer, was there already an older firmware file there? If so, the new one will have an altered name, like "-2" or "copy". If you then copy the file with the original name to your card, you'll just reload the older firmware.

Thank for your replies. Yes, it would seem that I reinstalled the old firmware.
I'll delete any old stuff and try Pentax.jp in the morning.
Its getting on for midnight here in France, and I need a clear head.

v1.30 now installed

Downloading from Pentax.jp provided the solution to my problem.
