You need community software as there is no official way to tether with the K-3 (apart from the flucard). The 645z and K-1 natively support tethering (including a free lightroom plugin), and all cameras since the K-S2 also have built-in wi-fi for easier remote control.

Looks like you might need to use WINE and I'd recommend downloading the latest version, rather than the one linked above.
Doubt you can make any of this work with the iPad though.
An alternative would be to use a third-party wi-fi card to carry out the transfers automatically.
