But I did think that "individual eyelash autofocus" was pretty funny.

It wasn't clear to me. He was doing such a good job of satirizing of the extreme "I want" posts that it could have been an actual "I want" post. Those smiley faces are essential.

I sure hope the new replacement to the K3 comes out soon....
.that way I can pounce on a used K3ii that everyone will be dumping for cheap just so they can own the latest gadget

Except for those who are dumping K-3 cameras.

When the K-3ii came out, I noticed a K-5ii for sale on ebay by a "pro".

He always has the most up-to-date Pentax APS-C as his primary camera.
When he gets a new primary camera, he moves the old primary camera to backup and the old backup out the door.
Thus, when he purchased a K-3ii as his primary camera, he moved his K-3 to backup and his K-5ii went out the door.

Used K3 (all models) have dried up in the UK.
Something tells me by the time their successor shows up, they'll be long in the shutter count... Only a problem if you shoot lots of bursts, though.
I really wish it'd come out before next summer (I think I said that last year ).

Sounds like existing K-3/K-3 II owners are hanging on to those bodies because they are that good!
(Both mine were bought used several years ago - The K-3 was a bit of a lemon because it needed an expensive recal by Johnsons Photopia due to back/front focusing issues, but the K-3 II was a very low shutter count bargain from someone who seemed to buy and sell new Pentax bodies "on a whim" - and then departed from the fold quickly after that! )

Used K3 (all models) have dried up also in Italy!
I bought one with only 4k shutter count in 2016 for 450€ and now it's incredibly hard to even find one under 20k shots for less than 500€...

(yes I regret selling mine... that wonderful shutter sound... that sense of sturdiness... I really have to find a bargain K3II to stop the nostalgia!)

The K3 ii is a great body. The only thing I’d really like to see improved is the AF. If the next model doesn’t offer a convincing AF upgrade I’ll probably pass.
