K3II with AF080C

Hi!

I recently bought a macro lens, bundled with the film-era Pentax AF080C flash. I did some research and apparently people have been using this with the K-series dslrs, but is the voltage still safe for the K3II? Would it be ok to use full power or just stick to 1/4?

I've had no problems on my K-3II. No issue using full power but I do get better results at lower power for macro use.

Please note that: The ringflash works with current Pentax lenses, but may not provide TTL flash with older "A" series manual lenses. I bought one hoping to use it with my old 200mm SMCA macro and my Tokina 90mm f2.5, also an "A" lens, but it did not provide TTL function with either. I returned it to B&H.

Good point @wpresto I assumed the OP was using all manual flash but maybe not. I have only used it on manual.
