Got lucky on Friday.

Managed to actually find a K3II Limited Silver (only 500 made). Someone oops'd it, mismarked the price as well. I think it was probably someone who didn't realize only 500 have been made worldwide. It's demo quality too.

Yeah I totally grabbed it without hesitation. If all goes well, I'll have it Tuesday.

Since it's a collector camera, I'll have to relegate using it sparingly...the only downfall.

Thanks guys! It's kind of funny how I managed this. I knew the original K3 had a limited kit, but when I saw K3 II silver listed, I checked the net to see how many others there were out there and saw none. I kept digging and found Ricoh's site on it, and went wait.... there are only 500? I completely forgot about the small run. So I immediately went back and grabbed it asap. LOL.

Arrived today. Exactly as described, not a mismarked foobar either. I can't believe I actually have one. Time to udpate my profile! LOL

Writing a little article about this kind of thing, and about owning several cameras too.

I'm also recharged up about the K3II. I really didn't spend a lot of time with it in the past. It was a timing issue more than anything.

Also, I was reconfirmed at a definite Photokina Announcement today. Still no new details, but everyone else is in the dark too. Looks like Pentax may want a surprise party.

I definitely will if I can. My guess is that press will know last minute, and under NDA. Unless the rumor sites get ahold of a leak before PK it will probably be air tight other than what I've posted. Not that far off now, plenty of us are on pins n needles I'm sure. I know I am.

Just found a black one I couldnt pass up too. I know, its crazy. But damn if that K3II doesnt work great with the 55-300mm PLM, awesome tracking!
