Wider AF point coverage would be great. If they could make it cover a greater area than the Nikon D850 they could have a class leading camera.

It's pretty much a given high ISO will be at least KP level.

Real innovation would be a hybrid viewfinder but thats a dream.

There's already a patent by Ricoh-Pentax for that.

I am sure Ricoh has monitored this thread along with the " why I won't buy a K 3 " thread. Common sense should tell anyone posting to a " negative" thread that the most of the issue they fuss about will never come to life, unless many of these issues are also brought up in a " positive" thread....not everyone visiting this forum are members so if the Pentax K-3 is so bad why do you not purchase a different camera manufacturer's body? Too much drama....

The two features that the K3ii has that the competition does not are - PIXEL SHIFT & ASTRO. The new K3ii should further improve each of these features to pull further away from the competition.


All of the other things mentioned above the competition already has. What's the sense of settling for just meeting the competitions features? If that's all you want, sell your K3ii and buy a Fuji X body.

It will be interesting to see how it uses the 'accelerator', which got very positive responses when used on the KP and soundly criticized when used on the K-1ii.
