Luke, if you are about to get this lens for K3 and not sure yet here is what I think.
Firts off, popular part - the weight. As everyone who got this lens said that the lens is heavy, yes it's heavy but I can tell it's very well balanced even on K3 body despite the fact that it's almost 200 grams lighter than K-1. I was afraid that it could be front heavy but no. Holding K3 with this bad boy attached is just pleasure. Immediately makes you someone serious with a special goal.
Autofocus. At the beggining, I thought something is wrong with AF at large apertures but now I think it's a matter of time and I will get used to. Another important aspect I learned so far with this lens regarding autofocus accuracy is that it focuses much better with spot mode, not select single point at center but spot. Other than that, very fast, very quiet and pleasing autofocus. Manual focus is also great.
Picture quality. No doubt here, absolute winner, amazing colors, great bokeh, sharp as blade but you will never get a resolution K-1 can produce with this lens, and I don't mean only megapixels. Say DFA* 85mm with K-1 will be always better than DFA* 50mm with K-3.
If my budget will let me to this I will definitely buy DFA* 85mm when it comes out because at that time I'll be playing with K-1
