k3 grip

quick question have a k7 with battery grip and looked at it and id say it 99% fits a k3, except for 1 steel pin thats larger,so it stops the k7 grip going on the k3,
any one modded one and if so does it work

I would file the pin (it will still fit the k7 after the mod) , widening an orifice on K3 is riskier...:-)

It has already been done by others. Here is an example i found with a quick search:

D-BG4 grip can work on the K-3. - PentaxForums.com .

It seems that the pins are a bit different thank on the bg5, so it might not be worth it considering the prices they sell for used (recently bought one for about 60€ and it is totally worth it)

ok guys took the plunge and pulled the pin out, fits like a glove,
yes the focus button is swapped and the battery works on it,
