Pentax Flucard - Capture video?

So I was interested in getting Flucard to make it easier to capture video... er more specifically to make sure I am in focus if recording self.

Anyone who has the card... if you switch the camera to video capture mode... on the mobile app/device, will it show you the preview?

Or does it preview/control only in photo mode?

Thanks!

I believe the flucard is for stills only, but not 100% sure.

Better off HDMI to a 7" battery powered monitor like you see videographers do with cages.

That's my alternative... the issue is that if I am filming self and let's say I am 10 feet away or so, would be tough to see how I look on the monitor, whether in focus or not.

The image quality is good, but the auto focus in video cannot be trusted. =)

I suppose I can get a LONG hdmi cable. lol.... or dump it for a Sony where I can trust the auto focus.... which I don't want to do since already invested in the Pentax ecosystem.

Proper video's done with manual focus, Maksim, I've even got a cage for my Sony A7 for attaching a monitor.

Focus beforehand, put a marker on the ground if necessary like they do in TV production, lock the focus off, do the take.

Yes, that is what I do for the most part now... but I love bokeh and shooting with Sigma 30mm 1.4.... even with focus peeking when it gets sunny outside, easy to miss.

shooting at around f3.2 with a good ND filter video comes out great... Just needed to remember to turn the shake reduction off as that completely killed video.

Yeah, proper video's done on a tripod, so again you don't need SR.
