K3 : long duration AFC issue

Hi all, I have a problem or just a doubt, hopefully.
With my K3 I set AF.C mode with autofocus point selection set to AUTO (9 central points) . Then I set the autofocus button as the rear AF button, not the half-pressed shutter button.
Well, no matter which AF Lens I use, when I keep the AF button pressed the AF system works correctly for 10, 15 or 20 seconds, then It stops with the green 'in focus' indicator in the viewfinder blinking.
Initially I thought was a problem of the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 (not a great AF marriage with the K3) but Is not: 16-85, 35, 50 mm give the same result. So, Is there a limit on the continuous pressure of the AF button? Any of you experienced the same fact? Thanks
Danilo

Was the AF.C tracking the subject ok up to that point ? Was the subject still displaying a contrasty area for the PDAf to get hold of ?

Do you get the same problem using shutter button half press ?

I will test my K-3 later, but it might be a time limitation to safe battery life.

I don't think a charged battery would make any difference. It might be some time limit to increase battery life from the start (like SR has to be activated with a half press every time, or LV beeing deactivated after a certain time of inactivity)

Now that you mention it My K3 showed the same behavior. After a certain time I had to press the back button again
I didn't pay any further attention to it because I use AF-C very little.

Will test tomorrow with the KP, it is now evening and too dark.

It seams my K-3 doesn't stop tracking no matter how long I stay on the AF-button (although I was using only the AF-point in the middle)

I tried my K3, in every AF metrix, spot to auto 27. It would track as long as I wanted, held the button for couple minutes (back button focus) . the focus would lock when the subject stayed still and the green focus light would be steady green, as soon as the subject started moving again the green focus light would blink and it would continue tracking.

Edit 10/14/19 Firmware is 1.30

So, thanks you all guys, seem 50% of us have the same issue. Although Is not a "big" issue I'd like to fix it, never say never: when your 200 years old tree will start walking one won't miss that shoot, isn't It? 😀😀

Number 8 and it is green, it blinks or stay "on" for long time. The red one doesn't blink but just flash once if get focus
