Sigma 70-200 f2.8 with optical stabilizer does it fit Pentax K3 II?

Hello,

guys,

If you know, does it fit Sigma 70-200 (with optical image stabilizer) 2.8 to Pentax K3 II?

I need an answer.

If it's K-mount, it should work : Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

With Sigma there is always a risk to have an incompatibility between a specific lens and a specific body, but it can be solved by a firmware update on the lens (but apparently you cannot do it yourself, Sigma can). I didn't find any report about an incompatibility between this lens and the K3-II though.

Sigma made lenses for Pentax as well as Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc. The different models are not interchangeable.

If you are ordering online, make sure that the seller says something like "for Pentax" or "for k-mount". If the sale makes no mention of the mount it is unlikely to fit your K-3 because only a small fraction of Sigma's sales were for Pentax.

If you already have a Sigma 70-200, compare its lens mount to another Pentax lens you own. Do the mounts look very similar with notches and tabs in the same places?

It will fit only if it's a K-Mount Sigma. Sigma released versions of this lens with different mounts for every major DSLR system.

If it is a K mount it will fit. While there are some Sigma lenses that provide optical stabilising in K mount I am not sure the 70-200 mm is one of those (if it is make sure to either use SR or the lens stabiliser, not both at the same time).
I think some Sigma lenses will leave a scratch on the K-1 body, but with the K-3 you should be on the safe side

I have a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO DG HSM attached to a K3. As others have said, it's stating the bleeding obvious that the lens needs the Pentax K-mount.

One observation, when walking around with this lens, it is not unknown for it to bounce/rub against one's body. That in turn can accidentally switch on the in-lens stabilisation (as well as the manual/auto option). A nuisance if you use in-body stabilisation.

The lenses we will be examining are shown above. It's important to note their exact names, as both Sigma and Tamron have produced multiple variants of their 70-200mm lens, and the ones we're looking at are the latest models. From left to right: SMC Pentax-FA* 80-200mm F2.8 ED [IF], Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 APO EX DG OS HSM, Tamron 70-200mm F2.8 Di LD (IF) Macro.

Introduction
In order to cater to professional photographers, a manufacturer must meet several requirements. In addition to a full frame body, a 70-200mm F2.8 telephoto lens is very high on the list. It is thus not very surprising that Pentax released its own version of that lens just prior to the launch of the Pentax K-1 itself.
