Love my K3 so much I got two of them, I even still use them a lot even though I now have a K1, K3 is perfect for hiking....
looks like I'm similar - K 3 then added a K 3 II

and now a K 1 II on the way

now in addition to choosing which lenses to take on a trip, I have to decide which cameras

what a problem

While it really hasn't seen much action this summer my K-3 is still humming along nicely.

I did a short test, on the left the original image in normal resolution on the right with the pixel shift, useless to comment,
I'm sorry that it's not possible to have this resolution in normal mode would have been fantastic, anyway between flash and pixel shift I prefer the second option,
although the two K3 are very similar already written. In the original the difference is more pronounced.
The picture was taken from a distance of ~25m with the Pentax-F 300mm F4.5 ED IF, and luckily there was very little wind.

I wanted a K3 when they came out, but couldn't justify spending that much. Fast forward to now, and I just got a used one through the marketplace here, as an upgrade from my old K20D. Way more settings than I'm used to, but so far, so good.

Gorgeous Reflection! I never seem to be so fortunate as to have so little wind. Nice images.

Thanks. It was nice and calm first thing in the morning. I hiked in to the lake in the dark and set up waiting for the sun to come up. I had to get a bit creative in my positioning to get clear water for the reflection though, most of the lake was frozen over already.

My K3 gives tremendous color saturation and sharpness with a DFA 28-105 mm HD.

We have nice weather these days and I'm collecting Fall foliage pictures. This combination (K3 + DFA zoom) creates marvelous images.

My K-3 is close to establishing cult status.
Yesterday in the blind.... 489 images, some 12-15 shot bursts at 8 FPS.

For those who didn't see these in the K-3 thread or 300mm plus club.

It still does what I bought it to do, and I'm not sure anything else would do it better.

K-3 Tamron 300 2.8 HD DA 1.4 TC

It's been along time since I was in the blind. A roll call of who was there. Currently female evening grosbeaks are out there, and I saw a Stoat wander by, but no images.

Black capped chickadee

My current shutter count is 141,645.

A mere 58,500 yet to go before rated capacity.

"It's 2020 and my K-3 still rocks"

Mines too!! The K-3 still feels very modern, because it was already ahead of its time then ; )

I got a K3 when there was a price drop and it was just too good to pass up. In May 2016 I got a K1 and the M3 has seen very little use since. Probably been a year since I pulled it out. Mostly I use a Pentax 12-24, a Sigma 17-70 and a Pentax 55-500 WR lens on it. The D FA 150-450 lens makes a pretty potent combo when mounted on it too.
