Summer is Over

It seems as if our warm weather has left us. Current temperature 0ºC, 32ºF. Light snow is falling in the back yard. Quick shot through double paned glass patio door, complete with reflections.

K-3, DA 12-24, ISO 320, 1/25@f/8, 24 mm

We were up on Mt Baker yesterday, temperatures in the low 30's ºF. Decided to leave when it started to snow. I'm not sure where this summer went. Last I checked it was March...............

My brother decided that winter was not something he wanted and moved to Maui.
A tempting thought, although Oz might be a good alternative.

Hi Albert

Both locations are islands but one has volcano's the other, yes but not active.
Language is the same ( sort of ).
Animals yes we have plenty to choose from, alas some can be deadly.
Winter is not too bad compared to what you experience.
Oh ..... see ya' soon.

We missed our semi regular annual trip past you this year. Our normal fall usually includes a two day trip into the Slocan Valley for a two week stay at a charming little provincial park across the street from Rosebery. We always seem to do an overnight stay at Mountain Shadows both directions and breakfast at the A&W next to the Husky House down the street from that ginormous dump truck.

It was nice here in North Carolina today—Sunny and 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Perfect day to take my convertible out for a drive.

Next time through give us a shout. We live about 6 Km from Mountain Shadows up Hwy 43 to Sparwood Heights.

Sure is! Sunrise and sunset are finally at accessible hours, woohoo, although, that's all we see of it as soon after it goes behind the clouds for the rest of the day!
