What was your first camera EVER.

What is the first camera that you ever consistently used?

Mine was a 110 camera my dad bought for me when i was 5 in 1988, my dad had a Pentax camera and was in to photography and wanted to get me into it too.

My dad still has 2 or 3 shoeboxes full of the photos i took, and thats AFTER throwing away the ones that were nonsense.

I think i stopped taking nonsense shots when my dad told me i would have to pay for the film if i kept it up.

Camera design was like this, but no where near Minolta quality and was sky-blue/white.

Amazon.com: Canon Sure Shot 90u 35mm Date Camera: Camera & Photo

circa.......~2006 I think, I borrowed it from my grandpa and took it up to the mountain, 4 years later and I still haven't developed the film from that day!

It was just on my desk I have no clue where it went

Pentax K1000 (I think) with my high school; first one I actually owned? A (probably no-name or something) brand Pokemon film camera that stamped the borders with various pokemon. It was some good times.

Yashica Campus.

Looking back, the rangefinder was off, and I think the shutter was broken.

Mines an old Sears TLS from 1972 and still works like a charm built like a tank. Even have a bunch of old mercury batteries for it just had it out this weekend ran some black and white thru it boy did I get some weird looks. Ricoh made these tanks back when i would put it up there with a Nikon F anyday which I have also. But the TLS was my 1st Great Site

Kodak Star275. Point and shoot film camera.

Given to me when I was around 12 or 13yrs old so I could take pictures at the drag races.

Nikkormat FTn

I bought a new Nikkormat FTn (with a 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor) using money I earned delivering newspapers. That was a large expenditure back in the day. It led to the purchase of many more Nikons and Nikkors--until I discovered Pentax. I use my equipment kayaking, canoeing, and hiking, and the compact and lightweight Pentax gear fits my needs better. I also prefer the design of Pentax gear. The "green button" is pure genius for those of us who expose manually.

That I owned? I think that'd be a 127 Kodak Brownie scored from a yard sale (the little brown cube type) I was probably like eight.

Thing probably still works, ...somewhere.

Yep. Started right off with the rollfilm.

I also used family cameras not technically mine for a while, I think my first 'serious' one was a whole Miranda Sensorex kit.

For me, went right from nothing to a Pentax K1000 in 1976.

I knew absolutely nothing about cameras or lens. For a couple of weeks after I bought my K1000, I couldn't figure out why it was called a 35mm Camera. It very plainly said "50mm" on the lens.

A Kodak Brownie my Dad bought me at the Grand Canyon when I was 12. It's long gone now, but I wish I still had it just for the memory.
