Could we say the same about our beloved company today?

Very nice! Of course, to day, we're more interested in whether we can have it 497.5 different colour combinations. (Yeah right)

Oooo! Now you have to scan it and post it. Do we have a sticky gallery of vintage Pentax ads?

Great ad, memories of a time long gone.

BTW I am amazed at how much money can be made off people's nostalgia by tearing the pages out of old magazines you can get for next to nothing at a garage sale and putting them up for sale on eBay.

It's all good! Everyone collects something different. We collect barrels of glass that spin 'round and 'round. Other people may collect vintage ads.

I think at this point these ads are more like art prints than simple magazine cut outs.

1981 - to put this in perspective, I wasn't even born then. Though I have to say that is a good ad for pentax.

I'll take a QS1 in fuchsia with chartreuse accents please. Oh, and a champagne 01 prime lens. No fast wide angle, I hate fast lenses, especially wides. Mmmm, unless it comes in aquamarine, of course. And plastic, lots of plastic!

Wouldn't it be nice if Pentax was in the position to run the ad again - today!

Wouldn't it be nice if Pentax took such great designs, updated them and started producing them again!
