Interesting Result thus Far for Pentax Brand

Over at Photofocus a web site started by Scott Bourne, he is now retire, they run a poll from time to time on camera brands used. the result thus far in interesting, especially when you see the lack of Pentax content and also a comment I got from Scott some years back asking for some Pentax content. He said they don't make available review units or something like that. I took that to be a negative because, unlike the big two, that seem to throw gear at top line professionals to push, Pentax is a bit more fugal.

Anyway, cast your vote, lets show we are strong and love Pentax.

Voted Pentax. Canon 25%, Nikon 22%, Pentax 3rd at 13%, so far.Better than I'd have guessed if it holds.

Of course it means nothing at all. If three Pentax users were in a room with two Canon users and one Nikon user it would seem that Pentax is a more popular brand.
Polls and stats do nothing but show the results of those who participate.

But that is like all research. In interpreting the results the question must be asked - who is likely to have responded - and what does that tell us about that sub-population.

I'm sure they will track the links that people used to get to the site and vote. They can see how many of their regular users voted and how many people simply followed a link from another site simply to vote and leave.
