dust specks on the mirror

hey there

I was just wondering if someone knows a good way to get dust specks
out of the mirror. It's on my dad's K-3 so preffered not risky.

thanks, Luuk

isn't there any chance the dust speckle moves somewhere else in the camera or manages to come in one one of the small holes?

Dust on the mirror don't affect the photos so I would not care about it.

Yeah, fair chance that will happen. I get them all of the time, because I change lenses a lot. Power the camera off, remove the lens, face the lens mount down, use the rocket blower. With any luck, the dust particle(s) will drop out of the camera body. I have a lot of issues with sensor dust, and I've had to remove my viewfinder (because a hair got caught on the backside somehow..), but have never had anything get stuck on the mirror that couldn't just be blown off.

thanks for all the helpful replies, i got the dust speck out
by getting the lens of the body, holding it upside down
and blowing with the rocket blower as you guys advised.
thanks again.

the best way as said above is to
use the rocketblower.
