Can't Believe I Didn't Know This (Feeling Stupid)

I was going through my camera gear and wasn't happy with the way I had the strap attached to my K-x. Did a search for "proper way to attach a camera strap" and this technique was the big search hit. I love it. Sharing it for people (like me) who didn't know. I've had a SLR/DSLR for decades and didn't know this. (Changing all my straps to this technique.)

Very tidy, sometimes you just need to be shown how to do things...

That certainly makes more sense than the way I've always done it.

This is very cool and dresses the ends quite nicely.

Thanks. The bunny ears have always bothered me. I never thought of putting it back in reverse...

Don't be so quick to change! "Bunny ears" causes friction between the 2 segments of strap in the buckle if there's a downward force on the camera while the strap is on your neck. The linked approach looks prettier, but also looks more likely to come loose under tension.

First time I've seen it and things will never be the same. Just like when I saw a clip about how to tie shoe laces properly and I had an epiphany.

And IIRC you even reviewed that little spike on the end of the retainer sleeve (which has reportedly disappeared)!
