Great thread, although I already knew some of the names here posted, I found some new sources of inspiration!

One photographer I follow is Anton Lovchenko, his work is done with a 645D.

Ok here's one more guy I discovered recently, from Germany I think: https://www.flickr.com/photos/traumlichtfabrik/

There's a lot of HDR out there that I don't like because it looks like a cartoon. His stuff is obvious HDR but I think he does a very good job of keeping it looking dreamy yet still natural. Warning: his pictures will make you want a Sigma 17-70

Thanks for the mention MikeSF, you inspire me as well!

Ben K did some great stuff, sorry to see him go too.
Mark Littlejohn did some great work but has moved to another system now (still does great work).
Chris Wilson does some nice 645D work.

Cheers Matt - Might move back if I can sort the 645Z......

I'd never seen Joni N before - stunning work.

I think Adrian Mills aka Dr Orloff is a superb photographer deserving of more recognition. It doesn't matter what genre he does he always does it with the perfect technique and a wonderful style.

Ian Cameron is a superb landscape photographer who specialises in some rather splendid Scottish landscapes.

There are so many Pentax photographers I admire here for their work and just a few to mention would be:

Dane.Dawg for the wildlife he shoots
MikeSF for his landscape work
MattB as well
RonHendriks for his sports work

Nice to get a little mention, especially from two top class landscape photographers. I don't deserve it, not yet but maybe some day. I know of the names named above and admire their work. I am a student of great photographs and of lesser known Pentaxians. I follow them closer than they know, but not in a creepy way. There are three more that I think are worthy of a particular mention for their inspiring work and uniqueness:

Gary Hickin for the most exquisite, classical still life that you will see. Now gone Nikon ff though.

Maria Gray (aka Autumnlight). Probably largely unknown to this forum but Maria takes the most ordinary, where many wouldn't even pick up the camera, and turns it into something extraordinary. Mood and feeling:

Jaromir Hron, a master of shades of grey:

They all have in common a natural eye, mastery of light and a meticulous attention to detail, as do MikeSF and Mark LJ. Take a look, I'm sure you'll agree with me.

I don't know about old guy, but there is a fashion photog called Benjamin Kanarek who used to shoot Pentax until a year or so ago, when he moved to Nikon (D800). He does fashion/advert stuff, but he's probably not who you are talking about.

Yeah, that guy. Kind of sad to hear he's moved on from Pentax.

I think his DA* 16-50 failed on him twice, I know one that has failed on him during a photo-shoot. I don't know about the second one, but it's the same lens that failed on him the first time, that second might've been the breaking point.

My favorite would've been Benjamin kanerak but he's gone away from Pentax now. Conor Doherty would've been my back-up pick, but sadly he left Pentax for Canon.

Those two are fashion and model photographers, for my 3rd back-up one who is now my 1st. would be Heie. A bit different than Conor and Benjamin. Something about magic about Heie's photography's, it doesn't need to be fashion or model for me to like. His composition and lighting are top notch.

Cool thread! I now have a few more people to follow on Flickr. For me I've always been kind of partial to the work of MikeSF, Thomas Ohlsson, MattB, K McCall, Thomas Brown and Rondec.

One of my faves - Obie Oberholzer (South African photographer) used to shoot Pentax 67 until he went digital FF and went over to Canon.
Harry Hook as far as I know still uses a Pentax 645 film camera
