Originally posted by ChristianRock I don't know about old guy, but there is a fashion photog called Benjamin Kanarek who used to shoot Pentax until a year or so ago, when he moved to Nikon (D800). He does fashion/advert stuff, but he's probably not who you are talking about.
Originally posted by dave sz Yeah, that guy. Kind of sad to hear he's moved on from Pentax.
I think his DA* 16-50 failed on him twice, I know one that has failed on him during a photo-shoot. I don't know about the second one, but it's the same lens that failed on him the first time, that second might've been the breaking point.
My favorite would've been Benjamin kanerak but he's gone away from Pentax now.
Conor Doherty would've been my back-up pick, but sadly he left Pentax for Canon.
Those two are fashion and model photographers, for my 3rd back-up one who is now my 1st. would be Heie. A bit different than Conor and Benjamin. Something about magic about Heie's photography's, it doesn't need to be fashion or model for me to like. His composition and lighting are top notch.
