Kids react to an old camera

Well, it's not that old, but to most of the kids it looks ancient. Quite interesting to see if the current analog photography trend will continue to the next generation, that got no nostalgic feeling for film at all.

I'm surprised they all knew to look through the viewfinder.

My thought, too.

And it would've been interesting to see them try a camera with an advance lever

Good stuff! Reminds me of the first time I let my 13 yo niece use my ME. She kept looking at the square memo holder on the back, waiting for the photo to appear on the "screen"

My nieces and their friends are actually using both digital and film cameras. They love the film cameras actually but they're proper SLR's with lenses, not pocket cams.

"I'm a Pro! ...right? wait... what? ...did I do it right?"
Pretty much everyday on this forum!

Nice video, it's not the first I happen to watch from the series, but they don't cease to be interesting.

...and "I've always wanted to see film" is priceless!

...and they feel bad for "those people" because they had to pay for cameras, films, film development... looks like they haven't met LBA yet! *grin*

Love it! They pretty much summed up why photography frustrated me for decades until I got a digital camera (Casio QV3000 or something? 3 whopping MP!)

I pity the poor people who will never get to smell of fixer. Or have their sinuses blown out catching a whiff of bleach starter.

I accidentally smelled a really strong dissolver once.

Once.

Not to mention a camera without the automatic, battery-powered take-up spool! Imagine how they would react to having to carefully insert the leader into the take-up spool before using the advance lever, and then watching to ensure that the spool gripped the leader and was properly advancing the film.

The Pentax "Magic Needle" (I think it was called) made that pretty foolproof, even if it was manual. Delightful video.

And they also can’t tell the time on an analog clock!

The world is doomed……………..
